    • The jacket is based on the late 5th version of the TCU combat uniform from 1968 onwards. There is no real history of the tiger camouflage version of the TCU combat uniform, and we assume that according to some historical data, manufacturers are using ripstop cotton fabric printed tiger camouflage (JWD pattern: a.k.a John Wayne Dense Pattern), and customizing this uniform by people in need.

Tiger camouflage is a combination of French lizard camouflage and British Denison camouflage. In the early 1960s, tiger camouflage was favored by American military advisers. Members of the U.S. Special Forces working with the South Vietnamese Army preferred the camouflage pattern, which blends in with the jungle, to the olive combat uniforms they were issued. These camouflage uniforms were purchased locally in Vietnam or in neighboring countries.
