The design of these black and white striped canvas pants traces back to the 19th-century prison uniforms, where bold stripes were originally used to make inmates easily recognizable. Over time, striped pants were adopted by the working class, railroad workers, and early motorcyclists. By the mid-20th century, as motorcycle culture flourished, striped pants became a staple among riders—not only for their rugged aesthetic but also for their durability and added protection while riding.
